Something new to read, every morning

You learn a language by understanding lots of it, just above your level. The hard part is finding material that is never too easy, never too hard, and worth coming back to. That is what Fluent Times writes.

A story of your own

Written from your vocabulary, with a few new words and the ones you keep forgetting woven in. No two learners get the same one.

Today’s news

The day’s real headlines from the country and topics you follow, rewritten at your level, each linked to its original.

Your weather

Your city’s forecast as a few short paragraphs — small, everyday language you will use the moment you travel.

How it works

  1. 1

    Read something written for you

A short story every morning, built from the words you already know plus a handful of new ones. The words you are about to forget come back on purpose.

  2. 2

Tap any word you don’t know

The meaning appears in your own language, with a note when it helps. One more tap puts it in your flashcards.

  3. 3

    Review the words you missed

Spaced repetition brings each card back just before you would forget it — your own deck, not a list someone else chose.

  4. 4

    Try translating it yourself

Write what a passage means in your own words. You are graded on meaning, not wording — and only on the part you reached.

Explained in your language

Word meanings, translations and feedback are written in the language you speak — not only English. A Czech speaker learning Spanish reads Czech explanations; a Spanish speaker learning English reads Spanish ones. The menus follow, too.

Your flashcards power the games. Chess, sudoku, solitaire and gems: every card you know earns you moves, and every round is a review of your own words in disguise.

Questions

Which languages can I learn?

Czech, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Arabic, and English. One subscription covers all of them, and you can learn several at once, each at its own level.

What level do I need to be?

Any. You pick your level from A1 (complete beginner) to C2 (near-native) for each language, and everything you read is written for it.

In which language are the explanations?

In yours. Word meanings, translations and feedback can be written in any of the languages the app speaks — not only English.

Is the news real?

Yes. Each brief is rewritten at your level from that day’s public headlines, and every item links to the original report.

Can I use it with a class?

Yes. Teachers create a class, share a join code, write stories for it and see where each student gets stuck.

What if it isn’t for me?

Email us within 30 days and you get a full refund. You can switch off renewal at any time from your account.
